Still wish I could just vent all of them besides the Kid. I could sleep then, let him take over for it all for a while. I could sleep. Take another swallow of the stim drink.

“Hey kid,” on the internals, “Bring me up another couple stim drinks would ya too. Thanks.”

I see him look into the camera and nod affirmatively. Good kid, hope he survives the training program and gets his own Track someday.

Check the externals and there might be movement outside of the spots and floods range. Normally the things shy away from out lights. Normally. Not sure. Either something new, or my eyes are pulling tricks on my mind.

Slew the main Gun Cameras in that direction and light off a pair of flares from the Aux Panel. Wait for them to ignite to get a better idea what might be out there. Still not sure what might be stirring. Anything out at night would be bad news at the best of times. Not going to roust them all unless need to.

Swear it looks like there are lights out there as well. Spots dancing all over the place. Different colors, red and blue, green and white ones too. Strange like they are moving in the same or similar direction as we are. Does not look like another track, something else.

I keep watch over in that direction. The stars are out also, can discount those, as they are just stars far far away. The lights all seem to move in what could be random patterns. Never seen anything like this before. Again, this is a new route, one I have not run before. It could be something inherent to this area.

They all fade away just as the Kid makes it back up here. I check all the feeds, the radars show clear as well. Must have been some sort of atmospheric disturbance.
